Derwent Inktense Blocks
Derwent Inktense pencils are an incredibly versatile product, which, since their introduction, have extended the boundaries, concept and use of traditional pencils. Derwent have now produced a range of Inktense in block form. They have exactly the same characteristics as the Inktense pencils while increasing the range of possibilities that artists can use Inktense for.
Inktense blocks are available in 24 vibrant, translucent, ink-like colours. They are quick drying with very little bleed and the colour is permanent when dry, allowing it to be worked over with other media. Only a little water is needed to make the colour go a long way and the chunky 8mm square block makes it perfect to hold. The large 75mm long blocks allow large areas of colour to be laid down very quickly, encouraging a loose style while producing free and expressive marks.
Inktense blocks can be used wet or dry and are available individually or in tins of 12 and 24 blocks. See Colour Chart

Derwent ArtBar - coming soon
The Artbar is a triangular-shaped bar of highly pigmented, water-soluble colour with a high wax content providing the user with a consistent, smooth texture and soft and creamy colour.
The Artbar is perfect for creating a wide variety of marks and textures with the distinctive triangular shape allowing you to create different and more interesting marks than those you can make with round sticks. The high pigment load of the Artbar allows you to build up colour and layers to make a dense, thick texture and when used with water, the colour release makes the Artbar feel like it is melting in your hands. It is almost indistinguishable from paint when wet. The Artbar provides an opaque colour as opposed to the Inktense bars and is also non-permanent.
Artbar is available in 72 colours and includes colours specifically requested by Artists and provides a comprehensive selection of 4 tonal groups - Brights, Pales, Earths and Darks.
